About In Perfect Balance Massage
My name is Melissa Ballew. I am the owner of In Perfect Balance Massage. I'm a queer, body-neutral licensed massage therapist who is encouraging our community to make empowered choices relative to their well-being. I focus on Therapeutic Relaxation Massage. My specialties include Hot Stone, Oncology, Prenatal Massage, and Trauma-Informed care.
I am originally from North Carolina and studied massage therapy at Miller-Motte College. I moved to Oregon in 2011 after graduating massage school. After working in the Catering and Restaurant Industry, I decided to pursue my passion and start my career as a massage therapist in 2017. I thoroughly enjoy working with people and strive to help clients meet their health goals while focusing on overall relaxation. I'm passionate about providing professional massage services tailoring each massage to meet your needs. I have been honored to serve the community of Tigard with massage services for over eight years now.
I love spending time with my wife, playing with our dogs, hanging with friends, reading, and playing Roller Derby. I have a Little Library in front of my home as well as a Lending Library in office lobby.

COVID-19 Protocols
Protocols are in place to ensure clients stay safe and healthy.
Wearing a mask is now optional during your massage session. I can wear a mask, am fully vaccinated, and am following strict sanitation and disinfectant guidelines from the Oregon Health Authority and Oregon Board of Massage Therapy.
For everyone's safety, anyone who had COVID symptoms, has tested positive for COVID within 10 days, or has been exposed to COVID within 10 days, needs to reschedule their appointment. Thank you for your understanding.
Services
Our goal is to loosen up tight muscles while focusing on overall relaxation. The techniques consist of long, gliding strokes with kneading, and gentle manipulations of the muscles at your chosen pressure.
$45 - $180: 30, 60, 75, 90, and 120 minute massages available
Hot Stone Massages
Hot stone massage melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness and increases circulation and metabolism. It promotes deeper muscle relaxation through the movement of smooth, heated stones.

Prenatal Massages
I'm certified in prenatal massage. Prenatal Massage is a nurturing session that focuses on the specific needs of mothers to be during their pregnancy. Certain positioning, pillows, and special cushions are used to enhance support, decrease pressure and increase relaxation. Mother and baby share in the benefits of body and mind. Stress and tension melt away, leaving you feeling balanced and energized. Relief of pain in feet, ankles, lower back, and neck, as well as reducing swelling, are all benefits of a Prenatal Massage session. Book a regular massage and put in the notes how far along you are. Recommend 60, 75 or 90 minute sessions.

Infrared Sauna
Step into warmth and stillness with our 30-minute private infrared sauna session, designed to support your body’s natural healing and detoxification processes. This session is a restorative space to slow down, reset your nervous system, and reconnect with your body. Regular infrared sauna use may support stress relief, muscle recovery, skin health, and overall energetic balance.
